Abstract: Theoretical models in the field of entrepreneurship study indicate personal entrepreneur desire is a strong factor to predict future practical business behavior. With the emerging concept of social entrepreneurship in China, this paper aims to reveal the relationship among entrepreneurial mindset, individual intention to start an enterprise, the likelihood to start a business and personal social causes interest in the region of South-East China, a comparative developed region within the country. Considering entrepreneurship and psychological research and theory, four main psychological entrepreneur traits including chance alertness, risk tendency, tolerance of vagueness and intentional optimism, are comprised to measure the aptitude towards starting a business. Based on the results of over 590 online surveys, completed by Chinese from Zhejiang province, the role of entrepreneurial mindset as predictor is subjected to be tested by Correlation, Linear Regression and Multiple Regression Analysis. The findings of this research not only contribute to the future development of societal entrepreneurial programs, but also solid the role and assessment of entrepreneurial mind of potential social entrepreneurs. The study also provides a new perspective of Chinese individual towards the heating concept of social responsibility.
